This course will provide learners with the current information about the regulatory framework within the operations of childcare services. The focus will be on governmental mandates and jurisdictions, current licensing and/or registration regulations and the organizational structure, authority and procedures of the provincial and local Community Care Facilities licensing and the Early Childhood Educators of B.C. Code of Ethics. The learners will also develop their own ECE philosophy, research policy and procedures and understand the floor plan and requirements for a childcare centre design.
